ATOP Limited are committed to the health and welfare of our staff, sub-contractors, clients and the general public.  We are continuing to monitor the global situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19).

We are developing a plan to assist in stopping the spread of coronavirus/COVID-19  into the places we occupy and the community therein. We will take action, should any suspected cases unavoidably occur amongst colleagues and visitors.  We are using a number of resources including those provided by Public Health England and the NHS to support any  advice and guidance provided. We are sharing the information with staff and via our dedicated staff forum.

If any staff or sub contracted staff have visited any of the areas identified as being affected by coronavirus/COVID-19, they will be advised not to come into work and to self-isolate as per the current guidance and advised not to return to work until they are free of the virus.

All staff have been provided with a list of affected places and they have been asked to confirm whether they have visited any of the areas identified as being affected by coronavirus/COVID-19 since 19th February 2020. A list has been complied and logged at the Main Office, Chester.

All students attending for assessment are being asked on booking whether they have visited any of the areas identified as being affected by coronavirus/COVID-19. A list of countries has been provided and all are advised to check for regular updates.

Student Loans Company have confirmed in writing (11.03.20) that we are able to assess students via SKYPE as an alternative to face to face assessments.

Staff/Sub Contractors are currently under-going training in SKYPE assessment techniques and have been provided with the appropriate resources to ensure the quality of the assessment is not inferior to a face to face option. They have also been asked to:

  • wipe and clean their desks, keyboards, mouse, chair handles, telephones, printers and any other equipment found on their desks daily with the anti-bacterial wipes issued to them.
  • use the anti-bacterial hand wipes to wipe down the door handles in the office each day.
  • not “shake hands” when greeting visitors.
  • respect personal space using 2 meters as guidance for seating and working alongside colleagues
  • use the hand gel dispensers provided.
  • stay at home if they feel unwell.
  • contact Janet Waine should they have any concerns or require any further information on the matter.

Janet Waine, Assessment Service Manager is the designated person for monitoring the situation within the workplace and will be keeping the position under regular review as it is the case that the situation is changing constantly.
